Calanna Pharmacy is unique in the pharmacy world, integrating a holistic approach to wellness when it employed its first full time naturopath 13 years ago. The family owned and operated business can now be found in six locations across Queensland.
Part of Mario Calanna’s vision to help people be healthy and improve their overall wellness was the prospect of creating a loyal community and sense of warmth in his pharmacies.
Unfortunately, the outdated brand identity and online presence didn’t match the broad vision of the pharmacy. With a brand re-launch on the cards, we were approached to develop a digital strategy that would deliver a consistent vision across all platforms. We worked with talented Brand Manager, Sarah Standen to cultivate a striking, functional outcome.
Calanna’s institutional website presents the new positioning of the company, with a focus on community and holistic wellbeing. It has become an online space where users can be inspired to live with a healthier outlook amid life’s stress.
Mario wanted to make his community feel warm and welcomed, yet inspire them to improve their lives. He is now able to do this through characteristic design, thought-provoking blog posts, an online directory of healthy recipes and a login portal for members of the “whole life club” loyalty program.
The design of the site is focused on user experience and emphasises the many services and products offered by the pharmacy. We also installed Shopify so that Mario can make his amazing range of products more accessible to his customers.
